Getting Started-- Some Helpful Tips for New Members
We know that this site can seem overwhelming to some folks as this is not just a bulletin board but a feature packed community.
So, here is a little information to help you get started making yourself at home here.

Most of the stuff you have access to here, is a matter of just browsing around discovering things. (which is half the fun!) You can also submit news or other articles too, that you think others might enjoy that will be part of the main site, by clicking the link titled "Submit News" under the "Community" category of <-----links on the left side of each page. You just enter the title and the content and then we approve it and you are notified when it is approved.
Each user does have a Journal area also (aka a Blog) You can access it directly from your "Your Account" page as well as the links on the left), but it is being tested right now...there seems to be a couple of "bugs" such as a problem with editing. So, if you want to use that, at least for the time being you may want to write it on an html editor first and then copy/paste it to your journal. Only simple html will work as far as I know, which include, (bold, center, italics, weblinks, as well as img src strings I believe work also (for images).
We have a link on the left <------ in the WEB Tools area for a wysiwyg html editor (what you see is what you get), a very simple and easy one to use, perfect for those who do not know how or do not want to write html code.
We also have a very nice arcade area, and all of the games are free for registered members. You can see the scrolling winners on the right hand side of the main page and you can click the logo at the top to go there or click the arcade link at the top of any page in the forum.
We also have a complete online Holy Bible, the link to which is in the Most Frequented Links (formerly called "General") as well as we a Quick Bible Tools area (on the left side of every page) which is attached to the Bible Gateway.
To change your profile settings, add a signature (which will be seen at the bottom of each post) and choose or upload an avatar, go to the forums area and see the two rows of links starting with "main" then "FAQ" then "search" etc... click on the link that says Profile.
